Volleyball Challenger Cup battle begins in Peru for one ticket to 2019 Women's VNL
|Peru and Colombia are two of the six teams seeking a place in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.|
Lausanne, Switzerland, June 19, 2018 - Peru host Australia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Hungary and Puerto Rico in Lima at the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, starting Wednesday, to decide one team that will make it to the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
All set for Final Six as Women's VNL pool play concludes
Lausanne, Switzerland, June 15, 2018 - Brazil, the Netherlands, Serbia and Turkey all claimed their tickets to the Final Six of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Week 5, the last of pool play, which concluded Thursday night. They join USA who had booked their berth in Week 4 and China who qualified directly as hosts of the finals, June 27 to July 1.
All four of the week's qualifiers advanced to the Final Six with at least one match to spare.

Will this play into the hands of Serbia, the third team on a 5-1 record at the top of the standings, who travel to Rotterdam to face the Netherlands, Italy and the Dominican Republic?

Lausanne, Switzerland, May 27, 2018 - Reigning world champions Poland and 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League gold medallists France are the only two teams on full points after the opening week of the inaugural 2018 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League that brings together the top 16 countries of the world in an almost two-month volleyball extravanganza.
They both opened their campaigns at home with three wins in as many matches over the weekend collecting full points on each to lead the standings after Week 1.
USA are also undefeated, but the Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medallists dropped a point in their gripping opener against Argentina in which they had to fight back from two sets down. Same goes for Italy, who dropped a point in their stunning win over Brazil.

Men's VNL under starter's orders
Lausanne, Switzerland, May 21, 2018 - The world's top sixteen teams are on the starting line ahead of the launch this coming weekend of the inagural 2018 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.
Rio 2016 Olympic champions Brazil are in Kraljevo, Serbia, for the opening weekend, where they also get to play Germany and Rio 2016 silver medallists Italy.
The Russian men’s volleyball Superliga giants Belogorie Belgorod appointed Serbian Slobodan Kovač as their new coach.
The Serbian expert Slobodan Kovač was appointed coach of Belogorie Belgorodafter spending the last season and a half at the helm of Halkbank, Turkey, with whom he won two championship titles. He clinched the first one after taking over the club in the mid-season when it was eighth-placed in the standings. Halkbankleadership pondered over renewing the deal with Kovač but, after conducting internal elections, they decided not to continue with him.
