NOT AFRAID OF THE BIG TEAMS
This year’s Junior European Championship will be challenge for us. Group is tough and we will have to try hard to qualify to the main tournament. We will play against five teams, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Turkey and one of the four teams which still have to get through extra qualifications
. I think that our 5th opponent will be last year’s Youth European Champion, Poland. We know our options are limited but we will practice hard in the weeks leading to the Championship and enter the competition with positive altitude. We’ve proven in the past that we can beat big teams and play well in the important matches.
I think all of our opponents will be well prepared. From our previous experience playing against Italy I know they have some great players and I think they are the best team in our group and have a chance of winning the Championship. We also can’t forget about Turkey, because they played very well last year and won 3rd place in youth championships. Then we have Finland, which will have home court advantage and a lot of fans who will support them. The last known team is Belgium. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about them but I'm sure they will have a good team.
